Syamsul, Puteri Sarah was not divorced today
KUALA LUMPUR: The Syariah Lower Court of the Federal Territory here on Tuesday, was surprised that the director of the film ‘Mat Kilau’ Syamsul Yusof did not pronounce a divorce against his first wife, Puteri Sarah.
During the proceedings before Syarie Judge Akmalluddin, syarie lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader who represented Puteri Sarah as the plaintiff said that efforts to resolve the couple’s domestic problems amicably were not successful.
Akberdin said, Syamsul or his real name, Mohd Shamsul Md Yusof and Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin had discussed the terms of the divorce, but they did not reach an agreement.
“So my client wants to continue the divorce proceedings by reading the report of the Conciliation Committee (JKP),” he said.
