Susan Lankester won the National Winner for the Best Female Actress category at AACA 2024
Susan Lankester won the National Winner for the Best Female Actress category at AACA 2024 for her performance in the movie Rain Town.
Susan will compete against National Winners from other regions in the finals on December 3 and 4 in Singapore.
The film touches on strained family relationships and emotional struggles, telling the story of a father who often interferes in the private lives of his three grown children.
The victory followed her excellent performance as Aileen Choo in the movie Rain Town directed by Tunku Mona Riza.
In her sharing on Instagram, Susan, 62, expressed her gratitude to her fellow actors and crew who helped her succeed in her role as a wife and mother of three children in the film.
“Thank you to The Choos – Chew Kin Wah, Pauline Tan, Wilson Lee and Fabian Loo. I love you all.
“And most of all, a big thank you to the RAINTOWN CREW for making this movie what it should be.
“And also for the trust you put in us on and off the set. I’m proud of you all,” Susan wrote.
The film features a great cast including Chew Kin Wah, Pauline Tan, Wilson Lee, and Fabian Loo.
