Tatjana Patitz died on Wednesday of breast cancer.
Famous 80s and 90s SUPERMODEL Tatjana Patitz died of breast cancer on Wednesday.
The news of the death of Patitz, 56, was confirmed by his agent Corinne Nicolas to People magazine .
“The deceased left behind a son, a sister, and his parents.
“We are all saddened by his passing.
“The deceased was a very caring, kind, and generous person and a staunch supporter of animal rights,” Nicolas said in a statement to People .
German-born Patitz was one of the few women of that era who achieved global fame through her unique looks and style.
Patitz is categorized among the early “supermodels” along with Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington who forged a name in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
These include being part of the most iconic magazine covers and music videos of the time.
