
Sungai Petani Youth Carnival targets 3,000 visitors
YAYASAN Jariah Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development (KPLB), Sungai Petani Urban Council (MPSP) and Al-Fateh Group Sdn Bhd will organize the Youth Carnival on 4 November 2022 at Dataran Pantai Merdeka, Sungai Petani, Kedah.
According to Head of Program Coordination, Nurul Alia Natasha, the carnival organized for the first time in Sungai Petani will focus on the role and opportunities provided by MARA and MARA Corp in developing rural communities while increasing the productivity of young people.
“The Youth Carnival which lasted for one (1) day will focus on the Education, Skills and Career exhibition by featuring the involvement of several agencies under Mara and Mara Corporation Sdn Bhd regarding the opportunities offered to young people outside the city.
“The young rural generation should be given the opportunity to know in more detail about the facilities provided by the government under the KPLB and exposure through this carnival is very important to prevent them from missing out on the great opportunities specially prepared for them,” she said.
Nurul Alia also explained that the carnival that will be inaugurated by the Special Duties Officer 1 of the Ministry of Rural Development, Datuk Shahanim binti Mohamad Yusoff, Datuk Shahanim Mohamad Yusoff is targeting around 3,000 visitors to flood the program.
“In addition to product sales stalls, various other activities will be provided throughout the carnival such as E-Sport competitions, People’s Sports, exhibition stalls, lucky draws, cultural performances and so on.
“For E-Sports, the organizers provide a total prize of RM6,000.00 for Mobile Legends & PUBG participants and a motorcycle and electrical equipment for the lucky draw,” she explained.
