Struck by the fate of the victim of domestic violence, Jahidah Nordin, singer Sufian Suhaimi and his company BabyPian launched Tabung Kasih for the woman.

In addition, the donations given include the education fund for the child of the victim, Eshan Nufail, who is now one year old.

“Mrs. Jahidah’s story is very close and we have closely followed the development of the case. Alhamdulillah, last month I had the opportunity to meet him and his family.

“Seeing Mrs. Jahidah’s lifeless condition in front of my eyes… I feel very sympathetic. So, it indirectly motivates me to come forward with this initiative.

“I and the BabyPian team are trying to do what we can to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence.
“In addition to giving donations in the form of cash and essential goods, we also help in terms of the child’s early development through the education fund,” he said.

Sufian said this when met at the donation ceremony of Tabung Kasih and the launch of Kasih Pillow products at the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM), Putrajaya on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Di Matamu singer did not expect that the effort also received positive feedback from the KPWKM.

The ceremony was also attended and officiated by the Deputy Minister of KPWKM, Aiman ​​Athirah Sabu and members of the victim’s family.

For the record, Jahidah, 44, an officer in a government department in Johor, was taken to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA), Johor Bahru in May 2021 after her husband was believed to have been injured.

She, who was six weeks pregnant at the time, suffered severe injuries and part of her skull had to be removed due to bleeding, in addition to her jaw, spine and broken ribs, suspected of being beaten.

Jahidah, who was in a coma, safely gave birth to a baby boy by surgery in November 2021.
