Siti Nurhaliza in the ‘Top 30’ world singers received the most awards
KUALA LUMPUR: The country’s number one singer, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza once again made Malaysia proud when she was listed as one of the singers or musicians who received the most award trophies of all time.
The Artist Museum portal places Siti Nurhaliza or more affectionately known as Tok Ti at 27th place out of 100 leading performers from around the world.
This recognition thus puts Tok Ti at the forefront of a number of big names in the global music industry, including Justin Timberlake, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Celine Dion and Bruno Mars.
Through the top 50 list released by the portal, Tok Ti managed to collect 329 awards throughout his career.
The top rung still remains topped by the king of pop, Michael Jackson with 1,003 awards.
This was followed by Beyonce (896 awards), Taylor Swift (867), BTS (784), Justin Bieber (720), Whitney Houston (714), Lady Gaga (566), Ed Sheeran (561), Elvis Presley (526) and Rihanna with 496 awards in the chart of 10 most trophy recipients in the music industry.
For the record, Siti Nurhaliza still retains her throne as the most award -winning Malaysian artist to date.
In fact, his excellence in the music art industry was once recorded in the Malaysia Book of Records in 2001.
