Singapore’s President Halimah Yacob will attend Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral
Singapore’s PRESIDENT Halimah Yacob will represent the republic for Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral on 19 Sept 2022 in London, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Thursday.
She will be accompanied by her husband Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee, an official from the Office of the President and MFA.
During his absence, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council, Eddie Teo, will carry out the functions of the Office of the President, according to the statement.
Queen Elizabeth II, died on Sept 8 and she is the second longest reigning monarch in European history after King Louis XIV of France.
