Sharifah Zarina’s father passed away
KUCHING: The father of the singer, Zarina Al-Qadry, Wan Hassan Syed Jamil Alqadry Aljilani passed away on Thursday night.
The matter was confirmed by her daughter Zarina or Sharifah Zarian Wan Hassan in a video sharing on her Facebook.
He is said to have collapsed while performing the sunnah prayers before Isyak at the Kuching Family Park Mosque.
“While he (Allahyarham) was in the mosque for Isyak and Tarawih prayers, he collapsed during Isyak sunat prayers,” he said.
The congregation at the mosque helped the deceased before contacting his family members.
Also present at the location was his son Syed Muhammad Alqadry who is also the founder of the Malay shirt brand S_Alqadry Exclusive.
The singer of the song Langit Ketujuh also asked to pray for the father’s affairs to be simplified.
“Please all of you pray for my father (Allahyarham),” she added.
It is understood that the deceased’s body was sent to Sarawak General Hospital (HUS) for further action before the funeral arrangements after Friday prayers tomorrow.
