Semangat Lebaran Kita: Astro artists enliven Ramadan with the residents of PPR Desa Tun Razak
KUALA LUMPUR: Astro Kasih ESG, Yayasan Ikhlas and McDonald’s Malaysia took the blessings of this glorious month by working together to celebrate Ramadan with 250 residents of the Desa Tun Razak PPR community in the capital recently.
Apart from cheering up the atmosphere, this joint collaboration aims to help the residents celebrate Ramadan more meaningfully in line with the slogan of the Ramadan Astro Campaign which is ‘Semangat Lebaran Kita’.
Astro Kasih ESG also provides basic necessities such as rice, sugar, vermicelli, biscuits, nutritious drinks and dates for every family in the community.
Meanwhile, Yayasan Ikhlas gave a contribution of RM100 to each household.
McDonald’s Malaysia also donated RM10,000 to Yayasan Ikhlas to help Yayasan Ikhlas carry out activities during the month of Ramadan this time.
Also enlivening the atmosphere of the event was the presence of artists representing the Astro Ramadan Campaign, namely Nadhir Nasar, Yaya Zahir, Erissa Puteri, Idris Brown, Putera Madam, Padel Madam, Timah and Syazwan Shuhaimi as well as actress Lisa Surihani.
The program also saw the distribution of lambuk porridge, donations and friendly chat sessions with the Desa Tun Razak PPR community.
It is hoped that the assistance given will reduce the burden faced by the Desa Tun Razak PPR community in celebrating the month of Ramadan more perfectly.
