‘Saving Private Ryan’ actor Tom Sizemore has a brain aneurysm, now critical

Hollywood movie star Tom Sizemore is reported to be in critical condition at a hospital in Los Angeles.

The actor is understood to have suffered a brain aneurysm at his home shortly after 2am on Saturday before collapsing, his manager Charles Lago said.

Sizemore, 61, was taken to the hospital where he is now under observation in the intensive care unit, TMZ reports .

Lago said his family was “aware of the situation and hoping for the best”.

“It is still too early to talk about the recovery situation because he is in critical condition and is currently under observation,” Lago said.

Sizemore is best known for playing Sergeant Mike Horvath in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning World War II film “Saving Private Ryan.”

Sizemore has also starred in the films “Black Hawk Down”, “Born on the Fourth of July” and “Natural Born Killers”.
His most recent appearances were in episodes of the TV series “Twin Peaks” and “Cobra Kai.”

The actor has a history of drug abuse and breaking the law.

Sizemore was convicted of domestic violence in 2003 against his girlfriend Heidi Fleiss.

In 2006, he pleaded guilty to using methamphetamine outside a motel.

Sizemore was arrested in Los Angeles in 2009 on suspicion of beating his ex-wife, and again in 2011 for the same offence.
