Ryan Seacrest hos baharu Wheel of Fortune
FOR the first time in its nearly 8,000-episode history, the internationally popular quiz program Wheel of Fortune will no longer open with a ‘hello’ from host Pat Sajak.
Instead, starting yesterday, Hollywood’s most famous personality, Ryan Seacrest took over the responsibility after 41 years of Sajak handling it.
Seacrest joins the program alongside co-host Vanna White.
Seacrest previously forged fame as the host of the popular program American Idol.
“I still can’t believe how lucky I am to be here with you tonight to continue the legacy of this incredible show with all of you, and, of course, my best friend Vanna White,” Seacrest said while opening the show.
“Thank you for the very warm welcome.”
Before the quiz started, Seacrest said, he admitted that he was very affected by Sajak’s retirement at the end of the 41st season.
“Hosting Wheel of Fortune is a dream job. I’ve been a fan of this show since I was a kid watching it in Atlanta with my family, and I know how special it is to have Wheel in your living room for the past 40 years,” he said.
“I am very grateful to be invited in. I also know that I have a very big job to shoulder.”
In his first episode, Seacrest brings his energetic spirit and classic sense of humor.
