Rogers Unveils PowerTone Series Shell Pack in Dazzling Champagne Sparkle
16 April 2025 – Rogers Drums has introduced the latest addition to its Signature Line: the PowerTone Series Shell Pack. This new four-piece kit marks a significant milestone for the legendary brand, featuring its first-ever modern dual rack-tom configuration and a stunning Champagne Sparkle lacquer finish.
The shell pack includes a 20″ x 14″ drilled bass drum, 10″ x 7″ and 12″ x 8″ rack toms, and a 16″ x 16″ floor tom. Built with 5-ply maple/poplar shells and reinforcement rings, the drums are engineered to produce a rich, resonant tone while maintaining structural integrity. Each tom features 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops, while the bass drum includes a matching wood hoop design. Remo UT heads come fitted as standard across the kit.
One standout feature is the Fruitwood Stain interior, providing a refined visual appeal that complements the vintage-inspired lacquer finish. Priced at £2928.00 (UK RRP), the PowerTone kit positions itself as a premium option for drummers looking to blend tradition with performance.
Initial feedback from reviewers praised the kit’s tonal clarity and overall finish, though minor concerns were raised about internal bolt tightness during setup and its relatively high price point for a four-piece shell pack.
Filmed at Paul Caboche Studios in February 2025, the review video captured three recording approaches: direct mic capture (no EQ), pre-amp EQ (basic EQ), and full studio mix with advanced post-processing. The full recording chain featured high-end gear, including Rupert Neve Designs 5052 preamps and AEA R88 stereo ribbon mics, ensuring the PowerTone’s sonic character was faithfully represented.
