Roc Nation Joins Forces with South Korea’s Musicow to Launch First Music Equity Service Provider (MESP) in the U.S.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26, 2025 / — Roc Nation has formed a partnership with South Korean fintech company Musicow to introduce the first Music Equity Service Provider (MESP) in the United States. Musicow enables music rights holders to buy, sell, and trade shares of music royalty revenue with public investors.

This collaboration highlights a shared goal of empowering superfans to earn alongside their favorite artists by turning music royalties into an alternative asset class. As part of the partnership, Musicow’s assets will be distributed through Roc Nation, allowing creators to fractionalize their royalty revenue and sell shares, enabling fans to participate in the earnings.

Jay Brown, Vice Chairman of Roc Nation, stated, “The music industry is evolving into a collaborative space where both fans and creators can benefit together. Our goal is not only to support and empower artists with the necessary tools to build a better music ecosystem but also to provide everyone with access to the financial opportunities the industry offers.”

Woo Rhee, CEO of Musicow US, expressed excitement about the partnership, saying, “This collaboration with Roc Nation presents a unique opportunity to innovate and redefine the future of the music industry. Together, we have the vision, expertise, and enthusiasm to drive transformative change and unlock limitless potential.”

Set to launch in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2025, Musicow is now offering early users $10 in their wallet, allowing them to be among the first to earn royalties with their favorite artists.
