Refusing to reconcile, Puteri Sarah is determined to divorce
SHAH ALAM: The session of the Conciliation Committee (JKP) involving the couple Syamsul Yusof and Puteri Sarah Liyana at the Department of Islamic Religion in the Federal Territory (Jawi) on Friday failed to find a solution.
Puteri Sarah who admits to being tired of the turmoil that plagued her household remains with the decision to divorce and refuses to reconcile.
“I still have the decision to divorce and don’t want to reconcile. Enough is enough, I’m tired, just let me go,” she said.
The 38-year-old actress remained with the decision to divorce Syamsul and submit the matter at the second mention session at the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Lower Court on April 10 next.
Puteri Sarah, who was represented by her sister, Dr Puteri Sofea, also requested that the JKP session which lasted for almost two hours be conducted separately because she refused to meet Syamsul face to face.
“I chose not to meet and share a room with Syamsul today (Friday). So, my sister and I just met with the appointed officer and told everything about our domestic conflict and the evidence.
“For me, Jawi officers need to know what happened so that there is a solution or otherwise.
“I stressed to the officer that I really don’t want to be with him because I’m tired of the problems I’ve endured for several years,” she explained.
Meanwhile, local media reported that Syamsul was ready to consider Princess Sarah’s request to be released if his first wife wanted to face him.
The controversial director also expressed his disappointment when the hope of seeing eye to eye with Princess Sarah at the reconciliation session was not fulfilled.
“I hope today I can see Sarah, but, unfortunately, the process is carried out separately,” he said.
Syamsul arrived in Jawi around 9.35am on Friday for a discussion session with his first wife, Puteri Sarah through JKP.
On March 7, the couple was ordered by the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Lower Court to appoint a JKP representative in the case of their divorce application.
