Rain returns to Malaysia for a free concert on August 27
South Korean popular artist ‘Rain’ will return to Malaysia after five years to perform a free concert.
This time, the 40-year-old star will appear in the Betadia Night concert on August 27, mStar reported.
The concert is scheduled to be held at Arena Axiata, Bukit Jalil from 8 to 11 pm.
The appearance of the South Korean star will also be joined by two local artists Andrew Tan and Jes Lee.
Throughout Rain’s music career, or Jung Ji Hoon’s real name, he managed to produce seven albums and 28 singles .
Rain achieved great success through their third album which was also their number one single “It’s Raining” in 2004.
The album sold 1 million in Asia, thus establishing Rain as an international star.
Rain also made his acting debut through the drama “Sang Doo! Let’s Go to School” in 2003.
In 2008, Rain appeared first in the Hollywood film “Speed Racer” and then “Ninja Assassin” in 2009.
His performance also made him the first South Korean artist to win an MTV award.
A check on the Betadia website found that the tickets had already been redeemed.
