KUALA LUMPUR: Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered for her extraordinary dedication to serving Britain, the monarchy and the Commonwealth, said British High Commissioner to Malaysia Charles Hay.
He expressed his condolences to the royal family and the British people who mourned his death.
Hay said he and his friends received many condolences and respects from their friends in Malaysia.
“We are very grateful for the memory and respect shown to his majesty in Malaysia,” he said.
Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday that Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-serving monarch, has died at the age of 96.
He said the flag will be flown at half-mast in honor of the Queen until the State Funeral takes place in another 10 days.
“A digital book of condolence is now available at www.royal.uk for those wishing to pay their respects,” he said.
Hay said the condolence book will be open to the public in Malaysia from Sept 12 to 15 at Menara Binjai, 2, Jalan Binjai, Kuala Lumpur, from 8am to 4.30pm.
