Queen Elizabeth II dies: Perak flags fly at half-mast three days
IPOH: Perak will fly its flag at half-mast throughout the state, for three days, starting Saturday, in conjunction with the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
According to the Secretary of the Perak State Government, Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, the matter was ordered by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah in the spirit of appreciating the relationship of Queen Elizabeth II with the Palace and State of Perak Darul Ridzuan.
He said, it is also a sign of expressing grief over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
“In compliance with the order, the Perak State Darul Ridzuan flag should be flown at half-mast from Saturday 17 September 2022 until the end of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral ceremony on Monday 19 September 2022,” he said in a statement here today.
Queen Elizabeth II died last September 8, at the age of 96.
Following that, the eldest among his four children, Prince Charles was appointed as king and became known as King Charles III.
Queen Elizabeth II will be buried on 19 September at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, while her funeral service will be carried out in full under ‘London Bridge Is Down’ protocol at Westminster Abbey, London.
