Puteri Sarah got permission to start contempt of court proceedings against Ira Kazar
KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Puteri Sarah obtained permission to start contempt of court proceedings against her honey Ira Kazar, sister, and their father who is also a veteran actor, Kazaruddin Saisi.
Lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader who represents Puteri Sarah or her real name, Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin told reporters that Sessions Court Judge Norakhmar Mohd Sani gave the permission during online case management today.
According to Akberdin, his party will submit a copy of the committal application to Ira or Faghira Fatini, her sister Yasmin and their father.
“After the service is completed, the court will set a date for them to respond to our application. At the moment, no date has been set,” said the lawyer when contacted.
Puteri Sarah filed an ex-parte (one-sided) application notice on Jan 31 against the three individuals for allegedly deliberately defying or disobeying the injunction order obtained by Puteri Sarah on July 4, 2022.
The mother of two children applied for the injunction order in the case of a lawsuit she filed against Ira who allegedly harassed and threatened her through social media.
On 4 July 2022, Puteri Sarah managed to obtain an injunction order from the court, among other things, to prevent Ira or anyone related to her from disturbing and affecting the order and peace of Puteri Sarah and her family as well as her in-laws including her husband who is also a director, Syamsul Yusof.
Ira was also prevented from approaching or being within 500 meters of Puteri Sarah and her family or friends and employees of Syamsul’s first wife.
On Jan 16, Puteri Sarah, 38, filed for divorce from Syamsul or his real name, Mohd Shamsul Md Yusof, 39, at the Syariah Lower Court here and the case was set for March 7 before Syarie Judge Akmalludin Ilyas.
Last Jan 6, Syamsul revealed that he had married Ira in Thailand in a video shared through Instagram.
