PU Azman was charged again, facing four charges of sexual crimes against three teenagers
KLANG: Celebrity preacher Azman Syah Alias or better known as PU Azman was brought before two courts here today, on four charges of sexual crimes involving three teenage boys between February and last August.
Azman Syah, 41, was charged in the Sessions Court with two charges of physical sexual abuse against a 17-year-old boy at a homestay in Kampung Sungai Udang, here, at 12.15 midnight and 1 a.m. on Feb 20 and June 29, respectively.
The charge is in accordance with Section 14 (a) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017 which provides for a prison sentence of up to 20 years and can also be subject to whipping, if convicted.
Azman Syah was also charged with one charge of encouraging another 17-year-old boy to communicate sexually through the WhatsApp application around 4pm to 7.30pm at a house in Kampung Meru, here on 16 August.
He was charged under Section 11 (1)(b) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017 which provides for a prison sentence of up to three years, if convicted.
Judge Syafeera Mohd Said allowed Azman Syah to be bailed at RM20,000 for all the charges.
Meanwhile, at the Magistrate’s Court, Azman Syah was charged with another charge of committing extreme obscenity against another 19-year-old boy at a house in Jalan Sungai Bertek, here at 9.15pm on 10 June.
He was charged under Section 377D of the Penal Code which provides for a prison sentence of up to two years if convicted.
Magistrate Amirul Asyraf Abd Rasid allowed the accused to be bailed at RM4,000.
The prosecution for all the cases was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Qistini Qamarul Abrar while Azman Syah was represented by lawyers Mohamad Zahid Ahmad and Fahmi Adilah.
Both courts also imposed additional bail conditions on the accused, namely that he must not disturb the victim, family and prosecution witnesses and must report to the police station near his home every beginning of the month starting this month.
Re-mention for all cases is set for Jan 12 next year.
Azman Syah previously pleaded not guilty to five charges of sexually abusing two underage boys at the Sessions Court in Seremban on Oct 12.
