Prime Minister visits Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi
ABU DHABI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today visited the Sheikh Zayed Mosque here, which is one of the largest mosques in the world.
The Prime Minister’s arrival was greeted by the Director General of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque Dr. Yousif Al Obeidli before being taken to visit the mosque.
Ismail Sabri also offered prayers at the mosque, which holds the world record for the largest hand-woven carpet and chandelier.
He also visited Wahat Al-Karama, a memorial for martyred United Arab Emirates (UAE) fighters.
He was welcomed by the Director of Martyrs Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnon Al Nahyan.
The Prime Minister arrived in the capital on Monday for a four-day working visit to the UAE.
He paid a courtesy call on UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday.
