‘Pray for my critical mother’ – Julie Sudiro’s son
Rindra asked Malaysians to pray for the stability of his mother (pictured) who is currently placed in the red zone ward.
KUALA LUMPUR: The famous artist, Datin Paduka Julie Sudiro, a jazz singer who is respected all over the country and Singapore is reported to be in a critical condition, at the moment.
Julie or her real name, Raden Juariah Raden Sudiro, 80, has been put to sleep since Monday evening.
Her son, Rindra Soliano, who confirmed the matter when contacted , said that his mother is now placed at Al-Sultan Abdullah Hospital UiTM Puncak Alam in Shah Alam, Selangor and her condition is very weak.
“Mum was very weak and her oxygen reading was low, there was a blood clot in her heart and the doctor asked her to be put to sleep,” he explained.
Rindra also asked Malaysians to pray for the stability of his mother who is currently placed in the red zone.
Julie is not a foreign name in the art scene of the country.
She is synonymous with the popular song titled, ‘Burong Nuri’ which was recorded with the late Ahmad Mahmud and the keroncong singer, Kartina Dahari.
Julie was born on 26 February 1945 in Segamat, Johor Bahru and grew up in Singapore.
She was blessed with two sons, Rindra and Jose Irmanto, from her marriage with her late husband, Tony Soliano, who was a reliable jazz musician.
In 2006, he received the title of Datin Paduka from the Sultan of Johor who ruled at the time, the late Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Al-Haj.
