‘Please don’t shout’ – Bruce Willis’ wife pleads with the paparazzi to respect her husband’s condition
LOS ANGELES: The wife of Hollywood actor, Bruce Willis, Emma Heming Willis reportedly appealed to a group of paparazzi who chased her husband, recently.
Through her Instagram, Emma expressed her disappointment when a handful of photographers and videographers shouted at the Die Hard actor while spending time with loved ones in public.
Last February, the Willis family revealed the state of Bruce’s recent health which deteriorated when the condition of aphasia (communication problem) that the actor suffered from was now in a more severe stage which is frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
“These pictures and videos will reach photographers and those trying to get exclusive visuals of my husband.
“Keep your distance. I know this is your job, but please don’t yell at my husband and ask how he is or whatever … don’t do it, OK?
“Give him space, allow our family or whoever is with him that day to make sure he can move from point A to point B safely. That’s a message from me,” she said on Instagram.
However, Emma’s statement was misinterpreted when a video of Bruce enjoying coffee with friends who stood up to protect him became media headlines.
“If you are a carer for someone with dementia, you know how difficult and stressful it can be to carry and navigate them outside safely. Even if it’s just to get a cup of coffee,” replied Emma.
