Pingu’s voice actor, Carlo Bonomi, passed away

CARLO Bonomi, the original voice actor of the Pingu cartoon series , reportedly died on Saturday, in his hometown of Milan.

Italian publication AF News was the first to report the death of Bonomi, 85, but no further details were released.

Bonomi was the voice actor of Pingu’s character between 1990 and 2000.

Pingu is a children’s TV show that aired from 1986 to 2006. Pingu, the character of a penguin, lives with his father, mother and younger sister in an igloo in Antarctica.

The characters in this series speak in English with not very clear sounds. But the lack of language aspect is replaced by movement and facial expression, to convey the meaning and message to the audience.

In addition to being the voice of Pingu the Penguin, Bonomi is also the owner of the voice of Mr Linea in the Italian animated series, La Linea .
