Penang is organizing the 2023 LovePenang Family Day fun
GEORGE TOWN: The state government through the Penang Women’s Development Corporation (PWDC) is targeting as many as 240 families to participate in the LovePenang Family Sports Day 2023 on June 11.
Chairman of the Social Development and Non-Muslim Affairs Committee, Chong Eng said, the program scheduled to start from 7am to 12 noon will be held at the Sony Seberang Jaya Sports and Recreation Complex.
“This program aims to provide a platform to strengthen family relationships as well as improve understanding of the importance of family institutions in the community.
“Interested participants can register through the link https://shorturl.at/abjqr,” he told reporters at the Launching Ceremony of the LovePenang Family Day 2023 by Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow today.
Chong said a fee of RM75 was charged for each group of five participants and each registered participant would receive ‘goodies’ worth RM38.
Meanwhile, Chow said, the state government will continue to support the provision of a safe environment for families and help families be more resilient to rise from difficult situations.
