PDRM will assess the death threat complaint against former beauty queen Shakila Saiful
Former beauty queen Shakila Saiful along with her lawyer Faizal Rahman held a press conference last Friday regarding the lack of investigation papers opened regarding the case of death threats against our client. The case (should) be investigated under the Hulu Selangor IPD.
The lawyer representing Shakila Saiful received a call from the Investigating Officer of IPD Kajang, a day after the press conference, asking to appear to testify regarding the alleged death threat.
The time and date have been arranged to allow the parties to testify and submit all relevant evidence.
Faizal said, his party will ensure full cooperation is given to the PDRM for that purpose.
And he also believes that his client’s police reports, since January 2023 which had previously been instructed to “Refer To Magistrate” (RTM) will be returned to the investigation paper to enable the investigation to be carried out. Among the other offenses that are (expectedly) involved are conspiracy, empowerment, fraud and abortion.
Faizal also said at the press conference session, it is unreasonable for reports (cases) of serious crimes to only be directed to be referred to the Magistrate while the PDRM has the authority to investigate the reports.
Faizal also thanked the PDRM for their consideration to reassess this matter.
“We truly believe that no party is above the law and will not get away easily even though they have a position and influence in this country.”
