PDRM has finished taking statements from the producers, six actors of ‘Flying Butter’
KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has finished taking statements from the producer and six actors regarding the case of the film Mentega Terbang, yesterday.
PDRM Secretary Datuk Noorsiah Saaduddin said their conversation was recorded at about 1pm at the office of the Classified Crime Investigation Unit (USJT), Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department.
“The case is still under investigation by the USJT and any developments will be informed later,” he said in a statement today.
Last Friday, PDRM recorded the conversation of the director and an actor of the film in Bukit Aman which was handled by USJT JSJ under Section 298A of the Penal Code, Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
The film Mentega Terbang, which was aired for free on a digital streaming platform, was criticized by Muslims in the country for allegedly containing elements of religious pluralism that could affect the faith.
