“Parents are getting older, we have to value time” – Rossa must go back to the village to celebrate
DOING a busy work routine and being adored as an entertainer has never made the famous Indonesian singer, Rossa forget her origins and family.
Why not go home to celebrate Lebaran? Rossa said, no matter how busy he is to fulfill singing invitations, he will not accept a job offer on the first Aidilfitri, as both his parents are getting old.
“This year, like previous years, I welcomed Eid at my hometown in Sumedang with my parents, siblings and Mara.
“Usually our Lebaran celebrations are simple, get together, visit graves and enjoy traditional meals.
“But for me who rarely comes home due to work constraints, for now I will make sure to always visit my mother and father in the village.
“I want to spend time and really appreciate every moment with my mother and father who are getting older.
“Time cannot be stopped and cannot be turned back, so I don’t want to regret it. I want to spend time with my mother and father,” said Rossa when met by the Malaysian media in conjunction with the launch of a single called Khanti, recently.
Rossa also informed that, as is the custom of a single son, Rizky Langit Ramadhan also celebrated Eid in his village in Sumedang.
The singer said that since a long time ago, Rizky had never had an Eid with her ex-husband, Padi drum player, Yoyo.
“It’s true that Rizky has never celebrated Eid in Yoyo’s village. Usually he is with me. But this year maybe Rizky will join Yoyo in celebrating Raya in his village in Surabaya on the third Raya,” explained Rossa.
