Orange Learn Launches Free Access to Music Courses
Orange Learn, the educational arm of Orange Amps, today announced the launch of performance-focused guitar grade exams, offering students a streamlined path to achieve recognised qualifications from Debut to Grade 8. These new examinations, recognised on both the National and European Qualifications Framework, focus purely on performance skills.
“Our vision is to offer innovative educational tools that support and inspire a lifelong passion for learning and performing music,” said Cliff Cooper, Founder of Orange Amps. “These new performance-grade exams allow students to focus entirely on playing music.”
Each exam requires students to perform a minimum of one piece from the Orange Learn Rock Guitar graded book, with remaining pieces freely chosen to match grade-level requirements. Students can use electric, acoustic, or classical guitar for Debut to Grade 2, with electric guitar becoming the specialist instrument from Grade 3 onwards.
One of the most innovative aspects of these examinations is their accessibility. Through Orange Learn’s online examination format, students can take their exams at any time and from any location, with results available within one to five working days. This modern approach removes traditional barriers to music examinations whilst maintaining the highest standards of assessment.
These qualifications are officially recognised, with Grade 6-8 offering UCAS points, making them valuable credentials for further education and career advancement in music.
