Only Twitter Blue subscribers can vote in the poll

WASHINGTON: Twitter owner Elon Musk said that only Twitter Blue subscribers can vote in polls related to the social media platform’s policies in the future, Sputnik reported.

“Great idea. Twitter will make a difference,” tweeted Musk in response to a user post saying only ‘Blue subscribers’ should vote in a poll related to the policy.

Early last December, Twitter relaunched the monthly Twitter Blue subscription to all account users of the media platform.

The paid features include a blue checkmark, the ability to edit tweets, high-quality video uploads and a reading mode.

At the end of last October, Musk finalized the acquisition of Twitter with a value of US$44 billion (RM194 billion), a United States company established in 2006 and headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Since the acquisition, Musk has made sweeping changes including firing executives responsible for the platform’s censorship, cybersecurity, privacy and laying off a third of Twitter’s workforce.
