NS Fest 2022 targets 300,000 visitors
SEREMBAN: The Negeri Sembilan Food Festival or better known as NS Fest is being organized again with a target of 300,000 visitors from July 28 to 31 at Dataran Nilai.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said after organizing the first time in 2019, NS Fest 2022 will be combined with the Negeri Sembilan Farmers, Breeders and Fishermen’s Day (HPPN NS) exhibition and the Entrepreneurs’ Arena.
He said the target visitors are residents of this state as well as those who live in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur to enjoy the festival this time.
“Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy various traditional Negeri Sembilan foods, fruits and other local products throughout the festival.
“In addition, a total of 250 parades have been prepared involving NS HPPN, the Entrepreneurs’ Arena as well as from state and federal agencies,” he told reporters at the NS Fest 2022 Pre-Launch press conference at Wisma Negeri here yesterday.
According to him, a total of 80 small and medium enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs from the food, service, textile and retail sectors will be involved in the Entrepreneur Arena exhibition.
As for the HPPN NS exhibition, Aminuddin said the appearance of ‘sado’ cows will be an attraction for visitors in addition to introducing jackfruits from Jempol, which is a new type of jackfruit registered as J41.
“In addition to sales stalls and exhibitions, NS Fest 2022 will also be enlivened with various other activities such as the Perdana Forum, cooking demonstrations by famous chefs and Adat Perpatih musicals,” he said.
