“No matter what happens, I will see my brother later on Raya” – Syafiq Yusof
Director and younger brother of actor Syamsul Yusof, Syafiq Yusof plans to visit his brother’s house as usual in conjunction with the arrival of Syawal next week.
Syafiq explained, he also hopes to be able to celebrate Aidilfitri this year together with all his family members and put aside all the disputes that exist.
“Usually on the morning of Eid, our family will celebrate together. This year, no matter what happens on Eid, I will see him (Syamsul), I will celebrate with him.
“I hope my family will return to the way it was before, all right. No human being is perfect. I hope you will forgive me on Eid,” he said.
Syafiq who was met at the launch of the film Polis Evo 3 at Six in the City, Petaling Jaya recently admitted that he is still in touch with Syamsul and even gave him words of encouragement.
“I’m in touch with him, give him words of encouragement because I’ve never seen someone who has suffered as badly as him.
“I always ask him to be patient. Just because a human being is an artist, popular and successful when there is a little mistake that many people actually make, but they are attacked from behind.
“I’m actually surprised why it’s like this. Maybe this is his test, but I believe he’s a strong person and can overcome the situation,” he added.
In fact, Syafiq hopes that the crisis in his family will be resolved harmoniously and maturely.
“I see my brother now thank God, everything is almost over. Before this I felt sorry for him, he was attacked from every corner, everyone attacked him!
“If both of them (Syamsul and Puteri Sarah) have agreed (to divorce) maybe that would be the best. If that resolves all the situations, I think Alhamdulillah. Pray for the best,” he added.
In another development, Syafiq who is currently busy on the set of the film Sheriff will appear with the film Polis Evo 3 which will put him in the director’s chair on 25 May 2023.
