Musk wants to take legal action against Microsoft for illegally using Twitter data
MOSCOW: US entrepreneur Elon Musk said on Wednesday that legal action will be taken against Microsoft corporation that illegally trained artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms using Twitter user data, Sputnik reported.
“They (Microsoft) are illegally training (AI) using Twitter data. Time to take court action,” Musk said on Twitter.
In January, Microsoft announced its plans to integrate AI, specifically voice-based ChatGPT into its services such as Word and Excel. Microsoft also announced a multibillion-dollar investment in ChatGPT’s creator, the OpenAI company.
OpenAI’s ChatGPT language model, launched in late November 2022, received mixed reactions for its ability to mimic human conversations and generate unique text based on user actions.
