More than 10,000 Malaysian Families celebrate Ambang Merdeka
APPROXIMATELY more than 10,000 Malaysian families cheered the Merdeka Threshold Celebration held at Anjung Floria, Precinct 4, Putrajaya which was also attended by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Ismail Sabri’s arrival at Anjung Floria at 11.30pm accompanied by the Minister of Federal Territories, Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim and his deputy, Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias was greeted with cheers from the Malaysian family and the waving of the Jalur Gemilang at the Floral Skywalk, the entrance to Anjung Floria.
In addition to the Prime Minister, several members of the Council of Ministers include the Chief Secretary, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Territories, Datuk Seri Rosida Jaafar and the President of Putrajaya Corporation, Datuk TPr Fadlun Mak Ujud.
The program which started as early as 9pm also presented a line-up of popular artists to visitors including Ella, Haqiem Rusli, Afieq Shazwan, Ameng Spring and many more accompanied by the Putrajaya Corporation PrecintNotes Kombo.
In addition, cultural dances from Dance Genius and Rai’e Dance Group were also presented to the visitors of the Merdeka Threshold Celebration.
At exactly 12 midnight, the merdeka chant was resounded seven times followed by fireworks and the singing of the Negaraku song.
The Putrajaya Merdeka Threshold Celebration is organized by the Putrajaya Corporation with the support of the Ministry of Federal Territories in conjunction with the 2022 Independence Month Celebration and the organization of the Putrajaya Royal Floria Garden and Flower Festival 2022.
