Miss B’s tears fall, pleading for the loss of her two brothers in the fire
DAUGHTER of popular entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vida, Cik B recalls the sad moments when she lost her two beloved brothers in a fire about 10 years ago.
Ms. B or her real name, Nur Edlynn Zamileen Muhammad Amin said, she herself saw how the two-story terraced house that was used as a dormitory where her mother’s staff lived was licked by fire.
“Before the incident, we had just returned from the orphanage. Then the brother entered the bachelor’s house, which was a guest house for Mama’s male staff. At that time I didn’t want to go in and play with my sister outside.
“Suddenly I saw that there was dust near the top. I turned around and saw that the sofa was on fire. I ran to call the guard … when I got back the house was on fire.
“After knocking on the neighbor’s house, I took a hose and tried to spray water to put out the fire,” she said when interviewed on the Hard To Heart program recently.
Miss B added that she began to realize that the tragedy was not a prank when the fire brigade told her her brothers were gone.
“I went to the hospital to see (my brother) for the last time. But I didn’t look because I was scared. They didn’t even burn… but drowned.
“They actually want to be saved, want to jump from the balcony. But they ran back into the toilet. The body was found under the sink,” Ms. B said again.
However, Ms. B said, her mother managed to bring her two late children, Muhammad Eddie Zuhdie Mohd. Amin and her second son Muhammad Edrie Zikrie Mohd Amin to vacation abroad.
“Before the incident happened, mom said: ‘Miss B, Eddie, Edrie don’t have to go to school, Mom wants to take the world around’. At that time, mom took a tour of Europe. Mama managed to take her on vacation, a few months before the incident happened,” Ms. B said again.
