Meghan Markle lashed out at the British media
MEGHAN Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, criticized the British media over reports that her letters to King Charles were the reason she decided not to attend the coronation ceremony of the country’s new king, her latest confrontation with the media.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Meghan has written to the current king voicing her concerns about the unconscionable bias in the British royal family.
The letter is said to have been sent after she made a statement in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 that said the royal family expressed concern about how dark her son’s skin was.
The report stated that the Duke of Sussex did not feel she had received a satisfactory response to his concerns.
“The Duke of Sussex is thinking about her life today, not thinking about a letter two years ago about a conversation four years ago,” Meghan’s spokesman said.
“(Thus) we welcome the tabloid media and royal journalists to stop the circus they created.”
Prince Harry will reportedly attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III next month alone without the presence of his wife, Meghan who will live in California, United States (US) with their two children.
Their eldest son, Archie, will turn four on the same day.
Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties in March 2020, citing a desire to start a new life in the US without the distraction of the media.
