Mawar Karim attends court hearing tomorrow – Lawyer
KUALA LUMPUR: Well -known entrepreneur, Mawar Abdul Karim will appear at the Bandar Baru Bangi Sessions Court tomorrow morning for the hearing of a notice of court application to postpone the execution of judgment in a case related to a civil suit amounting to RM720,000.
One of the lawyers, Datuk Mohd Imran Tamrin, who represented Mawar as the defendant, said that his party would make two applications regarding the suit by the plaintiff, Nabil Mat Jahya.
“We will ask for two things, the first is that a court order be given to set aside the default judgment obtained by the plaintiff against Mawar.
“Secondly, we will ask for the plaintiff’s execution application against Mawar to be adjourned until the court hears the answer from the defendant,” he said during a press conference at the Chaseman Hotel, here on Wednesday.
He explained that the application was to provide space for the client, Mawar answered all the demands of the suit and the payment submitted by the plaintiff in January.
Earlier, the media reported that the 33 -year -old entrepreneur was facing court action after allegedly failing to repay a loan worth RM 720,000.
The loan was made from an acquaintance for the purpose of capital to start a business.
