MasterChef Australia judge Jock Zonfrillo has died
SYDNEY: The host and judge of the popular television cooking program, MasterChef Australia, Jock Zonfrillo died at the age of 46.
The sad news was announced by the family of the deceased in a statement on social media on Monday.
Zonfrillo, who is of mixed Scottish-Australian blood and a father of four, was found dead by police in Melbourne.
Zonfrillo was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 4, 1976 and trained as a chef in the United Kingdom (UK) before moving to Australia in the early 2000s.
Based in Adelaide, Zonfrillo opened the acclaimed Orana Restaurant in 2020 and won multiple awards.
In fact, Zonfrillo is listed as a top chef in Australia.
The late then moved on to television by becoming a permanent judge on MasterChef Australia for the 12th season.
Before that, the deceased was a guest judge for the 10th and 11th seasons.
