Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music Hosts Chris Stapleton for Exclusive Fundraiser Concerts
PHILADELPHIA, MS, March 17, 2025 – Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music and the Ellis Theater have announced two special fundraiser performances by Chris Stapleton on Saturday, April 12 at the historic Ellis Theater in downtown Philadelphia, Mississippi. All proceeds from these performances will support the construction of Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music Community Hall, a dedicated gathering space within the world-class country music museum and performing arts center.

Chris Stapleton will perform two back-to-back shows at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 12 at the Ellis Theater.

2025 Congressional Sessions – Presented by Pearl River Resort
Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music is also excited to announce the official lineup for the 2025 Congressional Sessions, presented by Pearl River Resort. This annual fundraising event serves as a cornerstone for completing the Congress of Country Music and will be held directly in front of the Ellis Theater on Byrd Ave.
“The Congressional Sessions is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of country music’s rich history and future, held right here in my hometown,” Stuart said. “This event brings together artists and fans to honor our roots while paving the way for the next generation. I can’t wait to welcome everyone to Philadelphia, Mississippi, for this special occasion.”
The Congressional Sessions will unite fans from around the world for a day filled with extraordinary performances from legendary icons, current chart-toppers, and rising stars. As part of the event, Chris Stapleton’s Ellis Theater performances at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM will be simulcast LIVE on a 22-foot high-definition video wall outside. Additional performances by Grace Bowers and Brittney Spencer will take place on the outdoor stage, blending country music’s past, present, and future.
