KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actor Fetty Dzul died after a fight with COVID-19 level five at Selayang Hospital at 7.30am on Thursday.

The news of the passing of Fetty Dzul or her full name, Fatimah Abd Rahim was conveyed by her daughter, Isma Alif or more affectionately called Ijat by the veteran actress.

” Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’u n. May Allah SWT forgive Mamy’s soul and grant her Jannatul Firdaus. Aamin!
“Thank you for all the sincere memories and kind prayers for Mamy’s passing.

“We as a family on behalf of Mamy would like to apologize if the deceased made a mistake during the introduction with everyone. Ask to allow eating and drinking and the actions and words of the deceased Mamy Fetty Dzul. He loves everyone,” said his son in a message to Isma Alif.

Allahyarham’s health condition has deteriorated since last night when his kidneys and lungs failed to function.
His family also held a Yasin reading ceremony last night with the participation of fellow art activists.

Previously, through the Instagram of the Association of Malaysian Artists (SENIMAN) on November 9, Fetty was informed that he was critical and needed a breathing aid while in the Intensive Care Unit, Selayang Hospital.

Throughout Allahyarham’s involvement in the art arena, his name was so well known to fans as he starred in many various dramas and his face often graced newspapers and magazines in the 1970s and 1980s era.

Apart from that, before this, Fetty often appeared as an antagonistic character in dramas or movies and was one of the earliest actors involved in the police drama series published by Datuk Yusof Haslam, namely Remang-Remang Kota Raya, Harimau Rimba and Debu-Debu Kota around the 1980s.

Fetty then left Malaysia for four years in the early 1990s because according to her late husband, she was working in the United States.
