“Mak Wan has no money, no property, no need to drop him” – Didie Alias sympathizes with the fate of Mak Wan Latah

ACTRESS Didie Alias shares the latest developments of actress Halimatussa’diah Mohd. Daud, 61, or better known as Mak Wan Latah after pleading not guilty when she was brought before the Taiping Magistrate’s Court, Perak on 28 July last on the charge of spitting on his personal assistant, last month.

According to Didie, Mak Wan did so because he believed the senior actress wanted to protect his dignity and reputation as an actress.

“I contacted Mak Wan after she went to court for the day. Through the call, she still pleaded not guilty to protect her dignity and reputation. I understand why she did that.

“It is true that there are nine witnesses from that side, but did they provide evidence that Mak Wan spat on her personal assistant?” she said to Gempak .

According to Didie, she herself does not understand why the other side still wants to pursue legal action against Mak Wan, even though the issue is not a big issue.

“Is this issue too big to be extended? I don’t know if the other side is not satisfied because I didn’t go to see her? I’m not sure about that.

“I don’t even understand why she wants to drop Mak Wan. Mak Wan is not the level of a popular artist you want to drop. Stop this nonsense. I’m not trying to get sympathy because I’m just a listener and an advisor.

“What will she get if she fights this case? Mak Wan has no money, no property. She only has love for her children. Don’t bother making the old sit on the ground,” she said again.

Earlier, according to the charge sheet, Mak Wan was accused of deliberately spitting on Nurul Amalina Mohamad Kamal, 28, with the aim of inciting anger to disturb the peace in Lorong Haji Wahab, Kampung Titi Kasai Batu Kurau at 7pm, 24 June.

The veteran actress was charged under Section 14 of the Minor Offenses Act 1955 which carries a maximum fine of RM100, if convicted.

The court allowed the accused to be bailed at RM1,000 with one surety and the case was mentioned again on 5 September 2022 for the submission of documents and the appointment of a lawyer.

The accused paid the bail.

The conflict between the drama actress and her former personal assistant known as Amell gained public attention since last June following the woman’s exposure through several videos about Mak Wan on her TikTok account.

Through the video, the actress is accused of being hot-tempered.

The case dragged on when the veteran actress claimed to be the victim of Amell’s beating which was said to involve money issues.

The actress’s former assistant, however, reportedly said that she acted this way after Mak Wan spat at her when she asked a question that the accused could not accept.
