Lisa Blackpink, the first female K-pop artist on the ‘UK Official Chart’ four weeks in a row
NAME K-pop artist of Thai descent, Lisa Blackpink is now continuing to flourish in the international entertainment industry.
Most recently, he set a record once again in the UK ‘Official Chart’ after his latest song, “MONEY” was on the chart safely four weeks in a row.
The stunning record came just two days after the song ranked 46th in the ‘ Official Singles Chart, Top 100’ .
The achievement was quite impressive as the song the previous week ranked 54th, ranking eight times better the following week.
Interestingly, Lisa is the only female K-pop solo artist to successfully be on the UK ‘Official Chart’ for four weeks in a row.
The success was also the first in the last eight years where at the time, the song “Gentleman” from Psy was on the chart for four weeks in a row.
Lisa, 24, is the third member of the Blackpink quartet to perform on a solo project.
She was praised by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for promoting Thai culture in the music video “Lalisa” last month.
The Blackpink group once held Guinness world records including for “most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours” and “most viewed music video in 24 hours”.
