A video of an elderly man casually walking past the Prince and Princess of Wales in London has gone viral on social media.
Even with tight security and the presence of hundreds of media, the man seemed oblivious to the presence of the royal couple.
He walked casually behind Prince William and Kate Middleton holding a plastic bag in hand.
A security guard immediately approached and stopped him briefly for questioning.
He was then allowed to continue his journey after explaining why he could be there. He is believed to have just left a shop in the area.
The incident was shared in a TikTok video by user @dionpietrosanti, which has now received over 60 million views.
“No security forces can stop this man,” the caption on the video said.
Also drawing attention was Kate’s concern, who, despite looking shocked, quickly checked to make sure the man was okay before walking away.
“She (Kate) looked at him and smiled. She seemed like a polite and kind person,” commented a TikTok user with the name Ashmita.
At the same time, it also caused concern among the royal couple’s fans regarding security controls.
The footage was taken as William and Kate visited a location in Soho on Friday evening to see preparations for King Charles’ coronation on Saturday.
