Kamal Adli survived surgery after being attacked in Singapore
SINGAPORE: Malaysian celebrity Kamal Adli, who was injured when he was attacked by a man in Singapore late Sunday night (March 12), survived surgery at a hospital here.
“Thank God Kamal is awake…hope everyone pray for our safety,” his wife Uqasha Senrose announced via her Instagram account (IG) today.
In his IG update late last night, Uqasha informed Kamal, 37, that he was attacked with a bat several times by a man on the head, face and body.
Without revealing the hospital where Kamal was placed, Uqasha said Kamal underwent a “major operation” following a rather severe head injury.
She and her husband submitted to the police for further investigation and also asked fans and the public to pray for her husband’s recovery.
They are both in Singapore for the Hari Raya Mega Sale 2023 event for three days starting Friday which takes place in Hall 5A, Singapore Expo.
According to Uqasha, the incident happened at the end of the event.
Uqasha also included pictures of the incident that happened to her husband and informed that the criminal had been arrested.
Citing a Singapore police spokesperson, local media reported that the police received a call about an altercation that took place at the Singapore Expo.
“A 37-year-old man was still conscious when taken to hospital. A 34-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the case. Investigations are still underway,” the police reportedly said.
Recommended by Megaxpress International, the Hari Raya Mega Sale also featured several artists from Malaysia.
Popular couple Kamal and Uqasha are among the Malaysian celebrities who always attend such events in Singapore.
