‘Joking’ the issue of beating his wife, Baim Wong will be investigated by the police
JAKARTA: The Indonesian authorities will conduct further investigations into the content of the YouTube channel belonging to the famous actor, Baim Wong and his wife, Paula Verhoeven following the content which is said to contain ‘jokes’ of Domestic Violence (KDRT).
Citing Indonesian media reports, the ‘joke’ of this couple who came to the Old Kebayoran Police Station in South Jakarta to make a false report could lead to criminal behavior.
“We agree that this act could lead to criminal action because he made a false report,” said the Head of Police Relations of the Republic of Indonesia Metro Jakarta Selatan AKP, Nurma Dewi, today.
Nurma added that this couple could be brought to court on criminal charges and the authorities plan to summon Baim Wong and his wife for further investigation.
“We plan to call Baim and his wife to discuss with the Chief of Kebayoran Lama Police Station,” he said.
Earlier, a prank report on domestic violence (KDRT) was recorded for viewing on Baim Wong and Paula’s YouTube channel.
However, the video was deleted a few hours after it was uploaded to the YouTube platform.
The video titled ‘Domestic Violence Baim, Paula Experiencing Visa Watch before being taken down’ apparently angered Indonesian netizens.
In the video, Baim Wong is believed to have invited his wife to play a prank by pretending to be a victim of domestic violence and the victim of the prank was a police officer who took a report.
Earlier, the Indonesian entertainment world was in turmoil after the marriage of famous Indonesian celebrities Rizky Billar and Lesti Kejora was reported to be in turmoil after an act of domestic violence (KDRT).
Because of that, Rizky will be called by the police to testify following a report of domestic violence.
