Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez are engaged
The founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez have reportedly tied the knot, a source close to the couple told CNN .
However, no further information regarding the couple’s engagement or wedding plans has been shared.
Bezos and Sanchez, a former broadcast journalist, first went public with their relationship in 2019.
Since Bezos and Sanchez started dating, both of them have only shared personal details with close friends and outside the media circle, except that their faces are often captured by photographers at various events.
In 2022, in an inaugural interview with CNN at their residence in Washington DC, the couple talked about how the charity work done had indirectly contributed to Bezos’s strategically large wealth.
In fact, Sanchez told CNN , in performing charity work, they appear as “a great team,” but at the same time can be “a bit boring.”
Bezos described Sanchez, who is also an Emmy award winner, as “the most generous and kind person you will ever meet” and said his partner was “a source of inspiration.”
This billionaire, who is also the founder of the space exploration firm, Blue Origin, will take off into space in 2021 and return using his company’s New Shepard rocket.
Sanchez, who is also a former helicopter pilot told CNN , he also plans to go into space in the next few years and will be joined by “an amazing group of women.”
Bezos was previously married to MacKenzie Scott for 25 years and had four children together.
Sanchez, on the other hand, has three children from a previous relationship and was married to Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell for 13 years before their divorce was finalized in 2019.
