It hasn’t crossed my mind to find a replacement for Mael – XPDC
KUALA LUMPUR: After a week of the country’s entertainment world being shocked by the departure of ‘Metal King’ Syed Ismail Syed Ibrahim, better known as Mael XPDC, many fanatical fans of the group are wondering who will replace him.
Astro AWANI asked the matter to members of the XPDC group when they attended the Tahlil Allahyarham Mael ceremony in Puchong last night which was also attended by his family members.
However, according to them, so far the matter has not been discussed but does not deny that it will definitely happen.
XPDC bass player Zuar explained that the matter had to be done carefully since Mael’s charisma in the world of Rock Metal genre music was too strong.
“Yes, whether we like it or not, we have to think about it to continue XPDC’s struggle in the country’s entertainment industry.
“But it’s not easy and for now we haven’t thought about it yet. Right now we want to focus on some concerts that we need to fulfill according to the agreement with the organizers,” he said.
He explained further that XPDC will make an appropriate assessment when the time comes and all aspects will be taken into account according to the appropriateness of certain criteria, in addition to having to meet the ‘soul’ and character of XPDC.
As for the concert that will be held, he said, XPDC will invite some temporary guest singers in addition to inviting their own fans to make it a success together.
“But the guest singer does not mean that they will become regular XPDC singers.
“In fact, we will also give loyal fans the opportunity to sing with us later,” he said
Meanwhile, XPDC and the family of the deceased express their gratitude to all the people in this country who have shown great concern over the passing of the famous metal singer.
According to his younger brother Syed Ali Syed Ibrahim, his family was quite moved by the appreciation and concern shown throughout the week of the deceased’s passing.
For him, it was something quite extraordinary and difficult to translate into words.
The deceased died on April 27 when he was rushed to Muar Hospital due to shortness of breath.
