‘I’d rather be neutral’- Jamal Abdillah withdraws from Muafakat Nasional

KUALA LUMPUR: Famous singer Datuk Jamal Abdillah has announced that he has withdrawn from joining the non-governmental organization (NGO), Muafakat Nasional (MN) due to principles that are deemed incompatible with him.

Jamal explained that he informed many of his fans who voiced their views to withdraw from the political world.

“I humbly want to withdraw and politics is not in line with my principles as an entertainer. I want everyone to like me which, my fans are also in political parties, while many are asking me to withdraw.

“Family, friends and fans are begging me to do that. I also think it’s better to be neutral and if you want to express your views, let it be in your own way,” he told the Harian Metro portal .
