“I seems to have been forgotten…” – Johan As’ari sulked

The well -built actor Johan As’ari admits that he feels marginalized and seems to have been forgotten due to the lack of coverage in the mainstream media lately.

Not only that, Johan or his real name is also Johan Arrif As’ari, 35, also expressed his sense of being given less attention because there is no controversy or personal stories that can be shared.

This expression suggests as if Johan is sulking. Really handsome Johan?

“It’s not sulking. Only before this, my dramas were shown on television but they didn’t seem to be taken care of. Maybe I’m also weak at promoting myself on social media.

“I think all this time I was ‘sidelined’ because of lack of coverage. Anyway I am still happy and working as usual.

“I also like other people have social media and try to follow the trend so as not to be left behind,” he told Wilayahku when met at the Mat Kilau film press conference, recently.

Touching on the Mat Kilau Kebangkitan Pahlawan film which will be screened on June 23, Johan plays the role of Yassin.

Johan’s acting was praised by many because he managed to bring a different character from the characters he had ever brought.

Yassin was among the young men who together with Mat Kilau opposed the colonialists.

“I feel very happy and proud when I get an offer to act in a film directed by Syamsul Yusof.

“I am willing to reject other offers because I want to keep my hair long,” he said.

Mat Kilau’s film cost RM8 million and was shot for 100 days in Perak and other locations including Pahang, Melaka and Selangor.

The film takes inspiration from the story of Mat Kilau’s struggle and is altered as appropriate, not entirely a true story involving the warrior.

The film Mat Kilau was made in the atmosphere of 1892 when the British colonialists occupied land in Pahang. The British harvested Pahang’s land belonging to the Malays and interfered in the customs and religion of the Malays.

Not allowing British barbarism in Pahang to spread, Mat Kilau, Tok Gajah and his friends rose up against the British.

The ingenuity of Mat Kilau and Tok Gajah in planning the resistance caused the British to suffer pressure and losses until a fierce battle ensued
