‘I have never neglected child support, I am ready to pay more’ – Sam Bunkface criticized his ex-wife’s statement
SINGER Sam Bunkface appeared to criticize the statement of his ex-wife, Aida Azira Hussin, about the neglect of maintenance and responsibility towards his son, Maleeq, following an application for amendment of maintenance at the Syariah Lower Court in Petaling, Subang Bestari, Shah Alam before.
Sam or Shamsul Annuar Mohd Bahrom, 35, explained that he had never neglected to provide sufficient support for Maleeq even though his income was affected during the COVID-19 pandemic three years ago.
“I have never ignored my child’s maintenance for a month. I am ready to pay more.
“Maleeq is taken care of jointly, which is me for two weeks while the rest is with my ex-wife. She (ex-wife) asked me to pay RM1,300 for two weeks… isn’t it logical for me to ask for this amendment?
“During the MCO season, my income is limited and my business is also affected, but I carry out my responsibilities well,” he said.
Sam explained the matter in a video uploaded to his Instagram last night.
The explanation was made because he was not satisfied with his ex-wife’s statement to the media after not agreeing with the alimony amendment application made.
In the statement, Aida asked Sam to prove if he did not have enough income and lack of performance offers.
Explaining the matter, Sam said, Aida was aware of her income after she shared all the evidence in court regarding the reason for her application.
Sam also questions the actions of Aida who evaluates her life based on what is uploaded on social media.
“I never show my pain or pleasure on social media. Why do you want to judge based on social media?
“I have submitted all the evidence of my inability to pay maintenance in court and Aida is also aware of that,” he explained.
In addition, Sam also criticized the statement which claimed that he had not seen his children for more than six months and had not been in contact with them.
In fact, on the other hand, Sam claimed that Aida was deliberately making it difficult for him and Maleeq to meet, given that the child was currently under the care of his grandmother in Malacca.
“The last time I saw Maleeq was three months ago and there was indeed an obstacle. Aida put Maleeq in Melaka as far as I know.
“I asked for more than a month but he told me to talk to his lawyer. My son is living in Melaka and I have to deal with his grandmother,” said Sam.
Sam explained at length about all the statements Aida gave including having to block the woman’s phone number after receiving various unreasonable threats.
Just for info, Sam and Aida got married on 25 April 2015 and divorced in January 2019. They are blessed with a son Maleeq who is now six years old.
