Hot scene: Jakim calls Zul Ariffin, production of the drama ‘Perempuan Itu’
KOTA BHARU: The Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) will call the production of the drama Perempuan Itu, including actors Zul Ariffin and Siti Hariesa, related to ‘hot’ scenes that contradict the religious and cultural demands of society in this country.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Ahmad Marzuk Shaary said, apart from that, his party will hold a meeting with the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM) to discuss the matter further.
“Only from the point of view of religious (Islamic) guidance, such culture should not be brought into this country which adheres to the teachings of Islam and eastern culture,” he said after being asked to comment on the hot play between Zul Ariffin and Siti Hariesa in the drama Perempuan Itu here on Sunday.
Prior to that, he attended the National Muay Thai Championship at the Kelantan Islamic Rehabilitation Center (PUTIK) Pengkalan Chepa.
According to him, all players in the drama and film industry as well as entertainment in the country should always be aware of this matter.
He said the matter had caused concern among the people in the country.
The Pengkalan Chepa Member of Parliament said that his party did not rule out the possibility that the matter would be followed if it failed to be addressed as well as possible.
On Saturday, through a share on Instagram, the 35 -year -old actress was seen supporting a rising actress, Siti Hariesa and their actions were considered outrageous and not suitable for public screening.
